Let us show you the hidden gems in the Tweed Valley

Ebike Tweed Valley Guiding

We’re happy to set up guiding days for those coming to the area looking for battery assisted bike fun. To get the most out of the day, You’ll either want to have two batteries, or an extended lunch break with time for a quick charge. Shortcuts and otherwise impossible climbs are the order of the day. We aim to keep the motor turning and get as many trails ticked off the hit list as possible!

The Golfie

Looking to step up and taste the wild trails of the Golfy? First time visitor needing a bit of direction as to what’s what and where’s where? Looking to maximise your time on the hill and ride the best trails on offer? All of this and more is possible, we can set the day up to make sure you get the best game of Golf possible!

Glentress Guiding

If you’re heading to Glentress for the first time and want the hassle taken out of getting around the forest, we can guide you on a route to suit you or your group, from ticking off the waymarked loops through to exploring the wild trails and getting off the beaten track.

Tweed Valley Outliers

There’s more to Tweed Valley than Glentress and Golfy. We can set you up for a day taking in the smaller forests such as Cademuir or Thornielee, or look at guiding you on an old school journey round the area, getting into the backcountry and riding old Drove Roads, walkers paths, and other esoteric little gems that are hidden around the area.

Uplift Guiding Innerleithen

The sheer number of trails crossing the hill at Traquair Forest, where Adrenalin Uplift operate, can mean you spend half your day just figuring out what’s good and what’s not. Let us take the stress of trail choice out of the day, and make sure you get as many runs as possible without getting lost in the maze of Inners Face!

Epic days in the Tweed Valley

Example Itinery

  • Meet at 9am at the No 1 Cafe Innerleithen to fuel up and meet your guide.
  • A quick bike check to make sure everything works as it should  and a chat about what trails are currently riding well and how ambitious you and the group are feeling.
  • Head over to the Golfie and start taking on the climb, this is the point you realise you shouldn’t have had that pasty and extra pint the night before.
  • After a few warm up runs and every one is happy, the trail difficulty will be steadily increased during the ride.
  • Head back to civilisation at 12.30 for a bite to eat and a stop at the hydration station. (Don’t eat to much, the best is yet to come!)
  • Depending on how ambisious your feeling, there are 2 options;

Head over to a freshly graded trail on the Golfie which only the locals know about or…..

Step it up to another level and find that sweet techy root section you’ve just seen Reece Wilson post about on instagram.

  • Finish the afternoon whooping and hollering with a stop at the Traquire arms for a refreshing pint!
  •  Finally after one too many drinks, you stagger away waving goodbye to Gordy and claim you will send him an invite to your wedding.

A Successful day out was had with only two things on your mind….. What’s Gordy’s address and how can i convince my other half to let me come back for the Trail Hub Trips Long Weekender!?

*The above itinerary is an example only to give you an idea of the structure of the day. Gordy will take all factors into consideration such as weather, trail conditions and rider ability to deliver the best riding possible.*

Please get in contact if you have further questions about your trail ability and what kind of trails will be available to you.

If you love riding a mountain bike and you're in the Alps you are half way there to cycling paradise. What MTB Trail Hub bring to the holiday is the organisation around accommodation, transfers and fantastic meals and that all-important knowledge of where to go and how to get the best out of the various bike parks. And they do this with a super friendly flexible approach so as to best cater for their different guests. I cannot recommend MTB Trail Hub enough and I am already trying to pre-book my slot for next year. Come on chaps take my money 🙂

A fantastic introduction to riding in the Alps, Jamie and Charlie really pulled out all the stops to make this a fantastic trip. The catering was fabulous and the chalet perfectly located to reach the gondolas in La Plagne. So great to try out different bike parks in the different ski resorts. No queuing for uplift, and acres of fabulous trails. Breathtaking views to boot too. Fitted in a bit of hiking also, and could use gondolas for this too. Will definitely come again😍

We had such a great time riding at La Plagne, Les Arc and Tigne. All relatively quiet with their own distinct qualities. Jamie is really knowledgable and helpful. Everything was well organised with loads of flexibility built in. Great accommodation and food. Unbeatable value. Highly recommended.
