Riding & Bike FAQ

If you’re looking for a winter-friendly destination with almost guaranteed dusty trails year-round, focused on enduro and DH riding, this trip fits the bill.

Riders of mixed abilities join solo or in groups to ride great trails in the Spanish sun. The terrain is rocky and technical, often in high alpine, remote locations. You need good trail awareness and be comfortable handling basic bike issues on the hill. This isn’t a bike park holiday. We ride natural trails, some with exposure in places.

The trails aren’t usually steep, but may included steeper chutes. It’s a social, group based holiday and a solid way to meet like minded riders.

You don’t need to be a pro, but this also isn’t a first ride trip.

Uplifts are provided by minibus or 4×4 with bike trailer. The goal is to maximise the number of uplifts each day within operating hours. You’ll be uplifted to multiple summits with little to no pedalling required.

Riders load and secure their own bikes. Bikes remain the rider’s responsibility.

There are no scheduled lunch stops to maximise ride time, unless the group requests one.

Your 7 day trip includes 5 days of fully guided riding on technical trails. Each day of riding you will be based in a different trail network within a maximum of 1.30 minutes drive from the villa.

Uplifted shuttles are provided, guides adapt routes and pace to suit the group.

Rider ability

Trails are predominantly rocky and technical.

You MUST be comfortable riding UK black graded trail centre routes or red graded bike park trails

Tubeless tyres with inserts are considered essential.

Bring a tubeless repair kit and a spare inner tube.
Spare brake pads.
A rear derailleur hanger specific to your bike.
Energy bars for mid ride fuel.

There is a small bike shop in town for emergency items only.

Travel & Arrival FAQ

There is one scheduled transfer per week from Málaga Airport. Please aim to land between 10 and 11am on your arrival day. The transfer departs between 11am and 12 noon.

Transfers outside these times can be arranged for an additional fee. Larger groups may have this included free of charge.

A WhatsApp group will be set up before arrival to help coordinate on the day meet ups.

Your return transfer will aim to get you to the Airport for 12pm noon. Make sure you book your return flights accordingly.

Return flights are available from around £30–£60 if booked early or on a deal.

You can add your bike as oversized luggage, which typically costs around £90 return.

Airlines vary, so check baggage allowances and bike box size limits carefully. Malaga Airport staff can be strict on these rules, especially on the return flight.

It is mandatory for all Trail Hub guests to obtain health and travel insurance incase of an emergency.

By agreeing to our terms and conditions you agree to arranging your own travel and health insurance.

We have partnered up with market leaders in this field called Yellow Jersey. Contact them directly here and quote ‘TRAILHUB’ to receive 15% discount.

For UK residents it’s worth applying for a free GHIC card which can give you access to medically necessary state-provided healthcare when you’re visiting an EU country or Switzerland. Apply for yours here.

Carry this card with you whilst out on the trails for added peace of mind.

Most guests bring their own bike. It’s usually cheaper overall and typically costs around £45 each way to fly with your bike.

Bike hire is also available and ranges from £75 to £90 per day.
