Dalby Forest

A Great day out for riders who are bike fit or want to build on that.

Dalby Forest is a HUGE trail centre with riding perfect for intermediates and beginners with a handful of technical sections for the more advanced riders.

The trails on offer start with a mellow blue for beginners. The Red trail is the most popular which has an optional black graded world cup xc loop. This can be added on to your ride for extra hill climbs and more technical descents. Combined these trails come in at about 25 miles!

The Dalby forest mtb trails are great fun but do include a few dull sections. These are quickly forgotten when blasting down the amazing flowing single track sections of trail.

Sutton Bank

The Sutton Bank mtb trail network is known for being a quiet place to ride with 5 sign posted trails to choose from. find Sutton Bank about a 45 minute drive from the Yorkshire cycle hub.

Quoted from Sutton Bank Bikes

“The best thing about Sutton Bank is that it isn’t your typical tree lined trail centre, it is a location for those wanting to take a step into a natural environment with fast, flowing singletrack and bridleways, whilst taking in spectacular views. We describe our routes as a stacked trail centre, meaning you need to set off on the Cliff Trail to pick the Fort and Paradise Trail.”

For more information about these trails visit Sutton Bank Bikes

Guisborough Woods

The Guisborough Woods mtb trails are almost all off grid with only a 7.5km blue marked trail. Find a local guide, reach out on the facebook group or use trailforks to get the most out of this area.

From the Doorstep……

If you look from the windows of the Yorkshire Cycle Hub cafe, you can see rolling hills in all directions. Each peak has trails accessible from the front door of the Yorkshire moors cycle hub.

These trails mainly consist of big climbs and flowing descents. If you’re unsure about heading off alone then tag along on the bi weekly group rides or ask staff for GPX files. Not all trails are smooth and flowing though as you can take on the waterfall trail featured in the video above.

The trail fairies have also been working magic across around the hub too. A man made trail that dives into woodland sections, berms, jumps and flowing corners. An optional steep climb can added onto the loop to find the technical ‘rampage line’! All featured in the video above.
