This holiday is all about exploring the Tweed Valley and racing the Tweed Love International which is round 2 of their incredible enduro series.

Day 1 – Arrive at the lodge on the 12th June and settle in. Get the bike prepped and head over to the Traquire Arms for some food and beer.

Day 2 + 3 – On the 13th and 14th we take a guided tour and explore the Tweed Valley trails. We’ll ride the lesser known trails and some Golfie classics to get you stoked up for some racing.

Day 4 + 5 – The 15th and 16th are all about the TweedLove festival, ride and race as a group OR race solo in the seeded race.

The Lodge – Sleeps up to 10 riders and located in the heart of Innerleithen. Local coffee shops, pubs and bike shops are within a very short walk.

Nearby or onsite parking is available, Rooms are based on sharing with 1 other. Single room occupancy is available upon request.

Access the Golfie trail network is within a 5 minute ride from the door. Roll back to the lodge after a big day of riding to relax or tinker with your bike.

Great time spent in Alpe d'Huez with Jamie and his team - As a single traveller to the Megavalanche - I was welcomed, late afternoon on Tuesday after a long drive, with a beer in the bar opposite our accommodation - much needed thanks guys!

Excellent intro and a group outing down the main race course on day two calmed my nerves and made the rest of the week more enjoyable as a result (fears conquered!)

Top that off with a free beer and discount at Smithys Bar, BBQ and beers evening and a great meal out with the wider group of MTB Trail Hub racers at the event - really made for a great atmosphere, plenty of comradery and an excellent week of riding in the Alpes!

They looked after us so well, with great accommodation, great food, and so many great trails to ride. The guys were very happy to adapt the trip to the needs of the group, and took us to some amazing bike parks with barely any queues for the uplifts, allowing us to maximise our riding time.

Each location offered something different, and our riding progressed massively as the week went on. The whole trip was incredible fun and exceptional value for money. Highly recommended.

We all had a great time while staying with MTB Trail hub. The staff was very nice and welcoming, we were well look after during our Megavalanche week. The chalet we stayed at was well organised with various spaces were to chill, eat, hang out and get your bike sorted. Will definitely chose them again for our future trips to Alpe d’Huez. Made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much to trouble if we needed anything. The Chalet we stayed in was great! Prime location and not far from the lifts. Kitted out with bike stands and tools and good bike storage. Can’t forget the hot tub and an incredible view! BBQ & social nights were great fun! Definitely booking again! 5 star! Great accomodation, great to meet up and ride with like minded folk and nice to chill at the bar, BBQ and Keg Night and go out for the ppst race group meal.

TweedLove FAQ

One of the biggest mountain bike festivals of the year has it all!

Incredible atmosphere with racing for all levels, not to mention the large race village and DJs playing each evening.

Event entry info

The TweedLove companion package DOES NOT include race entry. It is the responsibility of each guest to enter the event directly with the event organisers.

How much does it cost to race the TweedLove?

The event entry varies depending on wether you’d like to race the full course or short course.

Full course – £89

Short course – £79

Youth – £69

Please note your event entry is NOT included as part of the holiday package.

TweedLove International dates 2024

The TweedLove International runs from the 14th – 16th of June.

Saturday 15th is a Practice day, with the Sunday being race day.

Can I race with friends?

Yes this is possible, but you will need to ride in the unseeded group. This can be organised at signing on.

A group of riders can race together, however you may be at risk of catching up riders during your race run.

What is the race companion package?

Trail Hub and the TweedLove have no affiliation and are run as complete separate entities.

The Trail Hub simply offers racers of the TweedLove event a chance to extend their stay, meet other riders and get the most out of the event.

What should I expect?

Expect to get the full Tweed Valley experience, 2 days fully guided followed up by racing the legendary TweedLove event.

Expect lots of riding, racing and great laughs!

Deposit

A non refundable £200 deposit will confirm your space on the trip, with your remaining balance due 6 weeks before arrival.

Where to park?

We have street parking directly in front of the lodge. There is also a free carpark at the end of Hall street which is located a short walk from the lodge.

BBQ & beer night

We will be hosting a beer and BBQ night for all guests joining us on the TweedLove race companion package.

Kick back with a beer and a burger after a big day in the saddle.

Single room supplement

The price of your holiday is based upon 2 riders sharing per room. However, if you’d like a room to yourself, we offer a single room supplement which is an additional 30% of the price of the package.

Insure your adventure

We HIGHLY recommend you take out insurance to cover you incase of an emergency.

Whilst going through the event entry process you are given an option to insure your booking.

Cancelation conditions

We HIGHLY recommend you purchase your own holiday insurance which has full cancellation cover

All deposits are non refundable.

If a holiday booking is cancelled less than 31 days before arrival, then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.

If a booking is cancelled less than 21 days before arrival, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

If the booking is cancelled 31 or more days before arrival, then the remaining balance of the holiday will be returned. The inicial deposit is non- refundable.

In the event of a no show after the arrival date, the full cost of the booking is charged.
